The driver's side brake light doesn't work?

I have a 1968 mustang.

the emergency light, signal light, and driving lights are working fine except for the driver's side brake light.

I've tried to change the light bulb but it still doesn't work.

How can I fix this problem? The driver%26039;s side brake light doesn%26039;t work?
Perhaps the fuse? Im not 100% sure if it could be the fuse as it is only one light that's out. If not than i reckon it may be the resistor.

Good Luck! The driver%26039;s side brake light doesn%26039;t work?
That's really weird, because it shares the same circuit as the flashers and turns, I'd almost be willing to bet it's an under dash problem, from switch to circuit, how you fix it I'm not sure, I have a bunch of nifty diagnostic tools to find the problem myself. The driver%26039;s side brake light doesn%26039;t work?
The odd part is, that can really only be a light bulb issue. my suggestion to you is to get a multimeter, and check for power at the bulb assembly (you should get around 12V DC power) and if you get power,(make sure someone has your brakes depressed) then it is a faulty ground with your bulb assembly. Clean out the insides really well or replace if possible. If you dont get power at the assembly, then you are unfortunatly going to have to chase the wire using the multimeter to find the point where there is a possible open in your lines. Im not sure of Ford wiring color schemes, but the running lights, brake lights, and turn lights should all be a different color. Good luck! The driver%26039;s side brake light doesn%26039;t work?
check the contact with a volt meter, if getting juice when you step on the brake then wiring is OK, but may not be getting contact to bulb, also check ground for this bulb contact, if no juice when you step on brake. The driver%26039;s side brake light doesn%26039;t work?
You have a 42 yr old wiring harness Its time to replace it. My Bronco had allot of electrical gremlins until I replace the harness.
